Craft is an artistic combination of materials that usually consists of a 3 dimensional convention.

 

It is typically a free standing figure although it can also be a relief form as well. Crafting is typically associated with sculpting which is also open to a multitude of mixed media when it comes to decorating and finalizing the project.

Crafting can be one of the most entertaining pass time activities for artists because it allows the development of form in a figure and enhances their shaping and experimentation in 3 dimensions. Both sketching and crafting go hand in hand for original creations because the crafted piece can be the test of a drawn figure in respect to what works and what does not in real life.
